Tiny Skweeks release for the Oric 8bit computer
Tiny Skweeks, aka The Tinies, aka The Brainies, was a game developed by Atreid Concept (later called Kalisto) released in 1991 for Amstrad CPC, then for Amiga, Atari ST, DOS, Apple IIgs, Macintosh and SNES.
Unfortunately the CPC was the only 8 bit computer that got a version of this game, and since the original publisher, Loriciel, started as a development house creating Oric games, I thought it would be a good idea to try to port this game to Oric.
Here is a video of the released game in action (on the Oricutron emulator):

Only 50 levels from the original 100 are implemented, as I ran out of space for a tape version of the game that needs to fit entirely in memory.
The code can be found on Github:

Since I started to learn programming on the Oric I have created on my GitHub account projects for each step of the way. They may be a good starting point for others that want to learn how to program this quirky machine. I also created a drawing program that conforms to the limitations of this machine, to help create sprites for my game. It's all available on my GitHub account, open source.
Great work! I used to work on the prototype of this game, at Kalisto, maybe '91, codename was Leitemotiv. Then Stephane Renaudin came up and created the furry creatures. I just love seeing it run on this good old Oric1.
