Telecommunications with Compute Gazette

Reading Chris's article in the Feb 2026 volume of Compute Gazette. I'm starting to see a path forward for a decades old idea that has been rattling around my my head: CML: https://jledger.proboards.com/board/2/cml A special markup language and web interface for the Commodore 64. I'm curious of the source code for the server side of this month's CG article is available somewhere? It appears that C= technology has caught up with my idea from 2005. :)

Some Googling tossed me back at your same site with this page (https://retrogamecoders.com/programming-bbs-with-python/

This has given me more of the pieces I need. It's taken me some time, but I've started actually parsing data from other websites for display on the Commodore 64 tonight.

Let me know if you still need anything!

I see you found the March issue which might make things a little easier on the server side :)

You can find my C64 Ultimate code here: https://github.com/omiq/c64-ultimate/

(FWIW I hope the Commodore folks add some features to the hayes commands on the ESP32)
