Yeah my weekly is starting to look more like roughly 8-9 days at this point. I need to get more efficient with my note-taking and news-hunting!

Big story this issue is something seemingly innocuous but it speaks to an ongoing discussion in the retro gaming community. If FPGA boards start running emulation on the microcontroller rather than hardware recreation in silicon, does that matter?

Perhaps with the MiSTer multisystem and/or handheld from Heber/RC (featured last week), you won't need another device?

Purists say original hardware only, but I think most people understand that is unrealistic as a general rule. FPGA is supposed to be the closest to original, but is that only the case when the hardware does the heavy lifting and not the code?

Would be interested in your thoughts on this!

How Worth-A-Watch is Made

My feed readers are constantly scouring an ever-growing list of the best blogs, online magazines, communities and YouTube channels for the latest news. I then hand-pick stories and add my thoughts, so nothing goes in unless I am sure it is worth your time.

Timestamps jump to the moment a story starts and written stories link to the original, so the traffic goes to the people who did the work.
